Dates & Venues

Co-Curricular activities are central to the culture and business case of most schools.  There are long-established traditions and expectations of provision.  However, at a time when facilities for these activities have never been better, it is ironic that staffing these activities is more complex than ever.  A  perfect storm of factors is making many staff less generous with their discretionary effort, and historic expectations of teachers are being challenged.

    • The shifting dynamic of supply and demand
    • Contractual expectation v discretionary effort
    • Legitimate curriculum extension expectations
    • The particular problems of sports provision
    • Avoiding a culture of adding
    • Evaluating future requirements
    • Reward and recognition models
